The welcome was polite but felt rushed, as if we were expected to leave quickly after getting the information.
Bathroom: The sign says it’s a historic hotel, but to be clear, it’s not remodeled. The bathtub had visible stains, likely from an old mat, making it look dirty. The toilet paper was extremely cheap, requiring excessive use.
Room: The carpet was stained, and everything felt old-fashioned, though relatively clean. One positive: the fridge was large and quiet. The air conditioning was small, loud, but effective. The beds were comfortable. When I asked for a blanket, it took 35 minutes, and what I received was a worn-out towel-like fabric.
Exterior: There are two large trees in the middle of the property that appear to be dead and should be removed. They don’t have a special aera for pet relief, so not great to sit outside while seeing sog pooping. The middle garden has so much potentiel to be awesome. That said, it was a quiet property, likely due to the older guests who respect the calm atmosphere. Parking was plentiful.
Restaurant: As a chef, I was disappointed. The spaghetti had clearly been left too long, dried in the top. The meals looks bad and sad. The meal overall was just okay nothing memorable. They had a museum inside of the restaurant and great pictures on the wall.
A pool would have been nice.
