About this property

Beautiful and Spacious Lake Home! Large Deck Overlooking Lake!

  • Large 6 bedroom 2 bathroom walk out cabin. Located on Prairie Lake in Chetek, Wisconsin, this cabin features a large porch surrounded with windows facing the lake providing lots of natural light and wonderful views. There are two large dinning tables in the porch for enjoying meals together or a fun game night. There is also a futon on the other end of the porch for relaxing time or to sleep a couple more guests. The fully stocked kitchen walks out onto a large deck that wraps around the entire back length of the cabin providing great views and entertainment. Then walk down from the deck out to the lake onto the dock and hop on your boat, or enjoy a starry night at the bonfire that is surrounded with brand new stamped concrete. The lower level also walks you out to the lake and bonfire pit. There is plenty of privacy for all guests, as well as a number of great large gathering spaces. (The pinball machines are a bonus and are not guaranteed to work during your stay.)
    Whether it is fishing, tubing, hanging out at a sandbar, or a relaxing cruise, this chain has it all including 8 restaurant/bars you can get to by boat!

    Gas Grill and Blackstone available for use. We do not provide propane. If the tanks are empty, it is renters responsibility to fill for usage.

The cabin is so much larger than it seems. Perfect location for our family gathering. Beds were comfy and there was so much space. Also, great to have a dock for our pontoon and a beautiful firepit.

Great spaces for large groups and with lots of bedrooms. Kitchen was stocked well but was lacking a dishwasher. That will be a great addition with the upcoming planned remodel. Beautiful views and the home was decorated so nicely for Christmas!

The house was Beautiful! Very clean & well supplied. And the fireplace put out plenty of heat. The guys went out ice fishing in the morning but no bites. We just stayed in & played a bunch of games & watched a little basketball.We would like to come back in the summer sometime.

Had everything we needed, beautiful place, dining room worked perfect for our group to play card games & eat meals all together but still can go to living room, basement, bonfire area or your bedroom if you wanted your own space. We have 11 acres in Cameron but wanted a place where everyone could be together for my husband's 53rd birthday and this was perfect! Would be even better to stay here during the Summer months to be able to fish, take out a pontoon, etc.

Excellent vacation home for large group

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home! Excellent location and so spacious. Rustic modern charm! Close to everything! We also rented the pontoon during our stay and made great use of it! The host was always on top of any questions we had and wonderful to work with! We would love to come back!

The property is so cozy and comfortable. The porch was a great place to hang out and relax. The kitchen was well equipped. Lots of games to play. The sunrise over the lake was breathtaking.

A gorgeous get away

This was such a magical place. It felt like an old time cabin but with all the new amenities and a big downstairs with 4 bedrooms and a huge kitchen with plenty of room for our family. And we made great memories and wonderful times there. Our family Christmas was wonderful, thank you SO much

S&K’s Bach Party

Our trip was a blast! The place was exactly as described, clean, and easy to find. We managed to sleep 10 people comfortably for 3 nights. The owner was generous enough to allow us to use their personal pontoon which was much simpler and convenient than renting through a 3rd party. Great weekend, highly recommend staying here!

Our stay was excellent. The house looks small but when you actually are on site the house was quite large and accommodating for our whole group. We wish we had better weather to use the fire pit and other outdoor spaces. We have already talked about coming back. We appreciate the owners allowing us into their home.

Very nice and spacious house on lake in Chetek

My family travelled to Chetek for a funeral for my father in law which was also over Thanksgiving. The house was spacious and was equipped with everything we needed to spend precious time with family. The Host is very responsive to any questions you may have also.

The gathering place

This property offered our large family such an inviting setting with plenty of room for everyone. It was a winter getaway with ice fishing, skating & a fire pit with lights for our outdoor activities. Inside the home was so inviting with beautiful hard wood floors, a warm, well insulated and heated porch with beautiful windows which made the perfect place for meals & games. We also enjoyed the fireplace upstairs and most of us tried our hand at pinball downstairs.. I would recommend this place for family gatherings.

Wonderful location for larger family gathering!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The cabin was spacious with all the bedrooms and the inside porch area with two large tables was perfect for meals and board games galore when it literally rained all day one day. It was such a nice space and the rain didn't impact our family fun at all. The outside deck is awesome too, great view of the lake with ample seating to hang out and enjoy. A couple of modest suggestions to make a guests stay even better would be to have a dishwasher and a working island to help declutter the kitchen and filled propane tanks to take advantage of the grill and nice blackstone. Thanks for sharing your great cabin.

Annual Fall Trip

Eight guys are in our group thar annually gets together for a long weekend. Have been doing so for a long time but decided to try a new place more centrally located. Found this VRBO property on line and confirmed it as it’s on a beautiful lake and had multiple bedrooms that accommodated our group. It looked great on line and one even exceeded that in person. Great layout that is so much nicer and stoked with endless extras to accommodate your stay. Best fire pit area I’ve seen right next to the lake. Main floor and downstairs are beautifully done and so practice for group and family use. Pontoon boat available important to us and also well done by owners. Just a great time. I would highly recommend this for anyone wanting to insure where they are going exceeds the expectation you have when you get there. Owners are super to work with.
