The young pandas were quite active at Dujiangyan Panda Base when I was there. This panda base was intimate and less crowded than the larger one in Chengdu.

Very good option to if looking for a traditional Chinese experience. This place offers many scenic spots around the city, many attractions such as panda zoo & care center as well as delicious (and spicy) food... Highly recommended

First time to visit Chengdu, very impressed with the easy/fast/clean metro. Visited LeShan Big Buddha, Mt. Ermei, Dujiangyan Irrigation, Giant Panda Breeding & Research Center. Awesome sceneries at Mt. Ermei. Chengdu is very green & lush.
