"Had a little trouble checking in because we booked third party and didn’t get the instruction text. However we were next door to a very loud dog and the staff went above and beyond to allow us access to another room away from the dog if it was still barking at bedtime. Luckily it was not and quieted down when the people came back from dinner. But the offer was very appreciated. I also liked having 3 separate beds when traveling with teenagers. Thank you!"

"This quaint older motor lodge style building has been well maintained, the outdoor pool is open 'til 11 & has a deep end big enough for a kids' slide + a lovely hot tub! I felt like I had gone back 35 years, when a reasonably priced motel just like this was nice, affordable & fun. There's cable TV, mini-fridge, nice bathroom facilities, great ice machines & and they even comp a couple or more bottles of water. I also drank the tap water and it was fine. "Checking in wasn't too bad once we figured out where to go. The shower stopped up the first night so I called the front desk and was told 'I will let maintenance know" We never saw them or heard from them. "The La Quinta Inn in Sandusky was the most unclean hotel I have ever stayed at. Upon arrival, every single table top and counter top were dirty. There were layers of drink rings, dust, and crumbs. I used an entire package of Lysol wipes cleaning the surfaces. The walls and door of the bathroom were covered in brown spots that I had to clean as well. I would not let my daughter use the restroom in such a disgusting state. The toilet didn’t flush upon arrival, so I fixed that too since it was so...

The outside window to my room could be opened by a 4yo that's curious. Rotted out windows. Refrigerator didn't work in the room. Vending machine didn't work. Nothing worked. THE WINDOWS!! Never been so scared to go to sleep in my life. And I camp outside with bears and stuff"

"The location of the hotel is perfect for walking to restaurants or just taking a stroll through downtown. Our room was clean and very well decorated. While having a waterfall shower was great, there was only a partial glass wall and no shower door, so naturally when you shower there for is getting extremely wet. I would recommend bringing your own snacks, because the snacks they provide in the room are very pricy. The staff was super friendly!!"
