"I loved staying in a property that was so old and yet had been made so comfortable. It was a shame that one of the curtains had broken hooks as it drew the eye but the view from our windows more than made up for it. The evening meals were delicious. Location was perfect for us being equidistant to Grasmere and Keswick. Maybe some sachets of decaf coffee?"
"Staying at this hotel was a last minute thing due to a mix up at our original booking and I have to say it was a godsend! We arrived 45 minutes after booking and were welcomed by friendly staff and a very clean room. The location was great and we went on a bike ride around the very quaint village and down by the river. I would definitely stay here again as it’s a great village hotel with great staff."

We met a really nice lady who told us we should had an email with booking room number we we didn’t..
The room wasn’t great it needs updating the place smells of feet in the corridor and room
The room wasn’t great it clean the beding and towels clean just the carpet was stained you didn’t wanna put your feet on it

The bathrooms where clean need more than 1 shower and 1 loo
