We did some family wine tasting in the area. This was a great place to come back to in the evenings. The outdoor area is great to sit in the mornings and evenings. We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay here.

The house was perfect for us! We enjoyed the outdoor area so much. The kitchen and bathroom were well stocked. All bedrooms had a fan, which I really appreciated! The host sent a message with recommendations for eating and wineries. They also left us a bottle of wine that we loved! The house is cute and I would definitely stay there again! The road the house is on can be noisy, but the fan drowned it out while sleeping.

We were in town for a family wedding, this house was a perfect location. The house was very clean, and we’ll stocked. Lots of room for our family. The back yard was a nice bonus space. Would 100% stay again.

This is an older but very well kept and very clean property. We had plenty of space - three separate bedrooms, a huge kitchen, comfortable living room (with wood burning stove) and a nice-size bathroom. The laundry facilities were a plus. Everything was well appointed with all we needed. The only minus was that it is on a main road into town, and the traffic noise in the early morning hours was noticeable - though bedrooms were furnished with "sound machines" which helped block out the noise. Check in was seamless. Our host, Phill, was communicative and very responsive to the couple of questions we had. A great experience.

We had an incredible time at the Pinot House - was the cleanest VRBO we've ever had, incredibly well designed and furbished, and generally a very function well thought out place for families. They paid particular detail to all potential needs - throw blankets, lots of wine keys/glasses, a well stocked kitchen and even stuff kids stuff throughout the house if you're looking for it (plates, sippy cups, pack and play, high chair, etc.). We really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back!

Lovely updated home in the quaint town of Carlton in the Oregon wine country. Within walking distance of several great restaurants and a beautiful small city park. Within 15 minutes of hundreds of Oregon wineries. Wonderful wood burning fireplace for rainy evenings. Clean. Beautifully decorated. Super host! Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed this house for the convenience of the location. This was our 4th visit to Willamette and the third time staying in Carlton. It was the first we stayed at this property and it is by far our favorite. Lots of amenities and Phil goes the extra distance to really have everything including having a powerful hairdryer. So many rental properties go cheap on the ammenities like that... not Phil. We found everything at the house to be perfect. Having air conditioning in the abnormally hot late summer was a big plus too. The deck and fire pit area were great for the cool evenings and al fresco dining! Thanks for having us. Recommended dining and nearby wineries include Horse Radish, Carlton Bakery, and Scott Paul Winery. We also drove over to Newberg for fresh seafood at Northwest Seafood Company. Check it out and grill it on the outdoor grill!

We loved the Carlton Pinot house. The house is smartly and freshly updated, and very cozy. We loved sitting on the front porch or back deck, either enjoying the movement of Carlton or the sun and stars off the back while cooking on the barbeque. The kitchen is well appointed and has plenty of room for cooking with friends. This is a great location for basing a visit to the Willamette valley. Well positioned within key AVAs, from the Pinot House you can enjoy the charming hamlet of Carlton and the beautiful back roads and valleys of the Willamette wine region. Arrangements and details were easy well prepared.

My family and I stayed here for two nights and it was VERY comfortable. The beds were AMAZING, the house was very clean with plenty of towels and all the necessities if you feel to cooking... Close to most wineries and nice restaurants (within 15 minutes) I would definitely stay here again if I happen visit again. A great quick getaway with family or friends!!! Thank you Phil for a lovely experience!

We were in town for a wedding reception. The location could not have been more perfect since we were central to Oregon's famous wine country. Great wine tasting, shopping and entertainment just blocks from the home, plus a very short drive to other small towns with their own shopping, wine tasting plus more. The house was very clean, comfortable beds and all of the amenities. Back deck was great for relaxing with friends and family. All in all a wonderful choice and we will definitely stay again!

We rented this wine country house for the holiday as a place to host the Thanksgiving dinner near wine country. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare the Turkey and all of the fixings. The location is perfectly placed to ease the wine tasting adventure the next day for our party of 6. The decor is sophisticated, cozy and clean. I highly recommend staying at this Carlton house.

This house was perfect for our group - two couples and one baby. All three bedrooms are about the same size (one is a bit smaller, but not much), the beds were pretty comfy, and the living room, kitchen and dining room are all a good size and well-furnished. The house is very old, but has had some updates, including the bathroom, and it was very clean when we arrived. Unfortunately, it was too warm during our trip to use the wood-burning stove. That would've been fun.
The only negatives are that when we first got there, the house smelled a bit like an old house. It reminded me of how my grandma's old house used to smell. We opened the windows and the smell was gone pretty quickly, but it was a bit striking when we first arrived. The second issue is that it is located on a main road that goes through Carlton. This is only a problem if you want to sleep with the windows open, and are a light sleeper. The speed limit is only 25 in the area in front of the house, so the road noise is typically very tolerable, and can be soothing if you like that sort of thing. Sometimes a big logging truck would drive by and make a bit of a racket, but again, our daughter slept in a room that was facing the road with the window open, and she didn't wake up during the night.
The backyard has a nice deck that we spent some time on in the evenings. And the location is in the heart of pinot country. We had a very short drive to so many area wineries, we never got more than a couple of miles from the house. Also, the kitchen had very nice glassware. I like drinking good wine out of good wine glasses. Overall, it was a great place to stay and we would stay there again.
