Very disappointed with this hotel. I booked a stay for 4 nights through Expedia and had to leave after the first night because of my brother passing away and the funeral being at a different city in Brazil the next day. I was informed by Wesley at the front desk that if Expedia agreed with it, they would refund the 3 remaining nights. He instructed me to contact Expedia first which I did. However, they did not honor that promise. Expedia made every effort to seek the refund without success. I was also promised a refund on the R$84.00 additional charge for my niece to stay with me the first night. She was not able to make it. They promised a refund, recorded my bank information to make the the deposit but that never happened either. All they did was to discount the parking fee (R$22.00) from that amount. To me, this is very poor business practice, especially considering the reason of my leaving early. Had they said to me while I was there that they would not honor a refund because it was a non-refundable reservation I would have accepted it, instead of being played with a unfulfilled promise. It is very sad that a hotel would provide such poor customer service.
