"We first visited Calakmul 20 years ago and were worried to see such a large development close to the site. But it surprised us with its sustainability, design, and the helpfulness of its staff. It enhances Calakmul instead of detracting from it, and it allows guests to visit who don’t want to bring a vehicle (we took the train). Highly recommended."

"We needed some ice so the staff brought us an ice cube tray from their personal fridge. Everone was very friendly and helpful.. We would stay there again and have recommended the hotel to others. Just know that the hot water in one of the rooms did not last long enough for a complete shower and there were barking dogs alllllll night, so pack ear plugs."

"Room was simple but nice. The lady at the check-in desk was very courteous. "
