Friendly but basic

A fun area to stay, with very friendly and helpful staff and at a good price. However, the room was sparse and shabby, only had a bed and bedside table. The bathroom was spacious but needed properly cleaning and the tiled floors were very slippery when wet. It all felt a little more dated than it should.

We liked this place a lot. On the edge of downtown Cairo, it's accessible to the heart of the city and at any hour of the day or night, you can find what you want or need. Staff (Mr. Wael and Mr. Hissam) were delightful and helpful in so many ways. In this area, you wouldn't expect luxury and some aspects of the hotel are a little run down. (An example is a balcony door that wouldn't quite close, letting in a few mosquitos.) Breakfast is okay--the rooftop dining area is nice. Overall, glad we stayed here.

The staff at this hotel was very kind. When I forgot my luggage at another hotel, the hotel staff called me on my behalf because I couldn't use my SIM card. He also told me about recommended sightseeing spots and recommended places to eat. They were flexible enough to check in earlier than the scheduled time, which really made me feel better. Thank you very much to the woman at the front desk wearing a light purple bijab, the man who looks good wearing a cigarette, and the man at the front desk who looks good wearing glasses.

スタッフはとても親切でシャワーの温度も最高です！！朝食も屋上で用意されていて気持ちのいい朝でした。 ただ、泊まった季節が12月だったのが悪かったのか、蚊が部屋に10匹以上天井にとまっており夜になると死ぬほど刺されたので虫除けスプレーを持って行った方がいいです。

Jag borde betalat lite mer för en bättre hotell

Läste mycket om hotellet. Båda negativt och positivt då ville jag se själv hur det var. MINUS SIDAN. Huset:- * Hotellet ligger på 6te våning i ett gammalt hus. * Hissen alltid upptaget med varor som ska fraktas till grosshandlarna på våningarna under. * Ta inte trapporna ner om du är känsligt. Fullt med sopor och herrelösa katter. HOTELLET:- RECEPTIONEN * De tar betalt direkt vid ankomst med Dollar och ger växel i lokal valuta. * Personalen röker i receptionen. * Inte hjälpsamma med tips om saker och tings. De hänvisar dig till internet. RUM * Mycket basic. * Ingen safetybox * Inga engelsk språkiga Tv-kanaler * Rummet städas inte om du inte ber om det. BADRUM * Inga handduk hållare. * Ingen mugg för att lägga tandborste etc. i vid handfatet. Bad om att få en. Fick en mugg men efter missnöje från personalen. * Duschen hade inte hel dörr/skydd för att hindra vatten från att komma in i badrummet. * Det finns ingen Tvål - Schampoställ. Du måste ha den på golvet. Mycket svårt för äldre personer eller för personer med rygg eller knä problem att böja sig hela tiden för lyfta tvålen eller schampo. * Ingen badrumsmatta för att undvika gå på hal-blött golv för att hämta badlakan och torka sig. * Badrumslyset och fläkten startar samtidigt. Mycket irriterande mitt i natten när någon gå på toaletten. * Dörren till badrummet är perforerat. * Frukost är en tallrik med 1st. brödbit, ostbit, banan, ägg. * Takterrassen. Du måste fixa the eller kaffe själv. PLUS Takterrassen. Friskluft

Udmærket hotel - uforskammet ejer

Dette er vores ærlig mening om hotellet. Vores formål til Cairo var at opleve forskellige sightseeing spot. Vi brugte kun hotellet til at sove. Hotellet/hostel var sådan set udmærket. Beliggenhed er meget centralt. Du har både lokale og internationale restauranter i gå afstand. Der var en mange shoppingbutikker - rundt omkring hotellet. Det var en fantastisk stemning i området. Opholdet på hotellet: Værelset var ganske fint. Aircondition fungeret helt perfekt. Der var masser af belysning. Vi havde fået et værelse med vores egen balkon - ud mod gaden. Til trods for dette, kunne vi ikke høre støj eller larm. Sengelinned kunne dog være renere. Men alt i alt var soveværelset ganske fint. Man skal huske anmode om at få håndklæder i receptionen. Der stod i beskrivelsen, at morgenmad ville være en buffet. Der var ikke nogen buffet. I stedet fik man serveret en tallerken med 2-3 brød, 1 lille marmelade, 1 lille ost og en enkel banan. Det var en kæmpe skuffelse. Medarbejderne i reception var flinke og venlig Ejeren af hotellet, var meget arrogant og uforskammet. Ejeren ændrede pludselig adfærd, fordi vi ikke ønskede at tilkøbe nogle af hans tours. Han stoppede helt med at hilse på os og undgik os. I øvrigt var hans sightseeing tours meget dyre (Jeg kan varmt anbefale khonsu tours) ejeren opkrævede et gebyr på 20 pund for at låne deres strygemaskine, fordi han var irriteret på os. Vi betalte dog aldrig, da hans ven fra khonsu tours, tog en snak med ejeren

Close to busy Cairo and superb managerial guidance

The hotel is hidden away and was a bit hard to find but literally a block away you're in the middle of Cairo's busy streets and key markets. Don't be fooled by the exterior as the interior was neatly decorated and the rooms were nice. The manager was super helpful as we needed last minute accommodations due to PCR travel requirement issues we were facing. He checked in with us and was very informative and well spoken. Just based on his customer service alone, I highly recommend the hotel. The rooms were decent, well kept, and the beds were comfy. The room was a bit chilly but hopefully that's something that can be addressed.

After being checked in and putting our clothes away, feeling good about the room, there was a knock on the door and we were informed that we were being kicked out of our shared room, two single beds, and being forced to take 2 separate rooms. We were told that the police had said that my Egyptian friend who I had been traveling with for the previous 2 weeks and whose family was like my family for 5 years in Luxor and I could not occupy a room together under threat of being jailed. We had stayed at this same hotel the year before without incident, and then the hotel charged much more money and made us stay in single rooms at opposite ends of the hotel. It wa humiliating and degrading and could have been avoided.

Mustafa and Mario (the managers) were polite, detailed, and ever-helpful. They were the best part of the stay. The things expected like room being clean and comfortable were true. I wish eggs cooked to order were available at each breakfast, but breakfast was always good and that staff was equally helpful and polite.

The hotel is based on floor 6 of a very poor and dirty building. As the lift wasn’t operational I had yo climb the stone stairs to the reception which had a no smoking sign but the staff were smoking at the desk. I questioned why the transfer booked driver didn’t turn up at the airport and was given a poor excuse. The room I had booked wasn’t available so they booked me into something else with a promise to change room which never happened. Breakfast was very poor and in a unclean environment served on dirty platters so wasn’t inviting at all. I was very disappointed with the hotel after such a beautiful and culture rich city. The hotel was a total let down.

Hôtel simple

Nous nous sommes rendu dans cet hôtel afin de pourvoir suivre la CAN 2019. Nous avions réservé une chambre pour 3. L’état de la chambre était correct mais pas avec vue. Les matelas étaient confortables mais la literie comportaient quelques taches. Le frigo est resté sale tout le séjour. Le petit déjeuner était bon et agréable sur la terrasse. Il faut quand même insisté pour le ménage , pour le savon et de nouvelles serviette. L’hôtel est en plein centre ville donc facile d’accès. La climatisation fonctionne parfaitement mais pas la TV. Superbe accueil, qui nous mets à l’aise et nous propose rapidement plusieurs activité. Très disponible pour nous renseigner , nous aider notamment pour toute les informations liées à la compétition. C’est un bon hôtel pour y aller entre potes quelques jours. Voilà.

Go to be in the middle of it all

Down in the middle of everything. But down a small street and on the 6th floor with an elevator that sometimes doesn't work. But a great, friendly staff, that helps you in every way. Atef will book any and all plans for you all over Egypt. WiFi was marginal.

Was shocked that the hotel is situated on the 6th floor in an old building. And the building is hidden behind a small aley. Only with a small banner indicating direction which can be easily missed when arrive in the night.
