"Such a lovely little getaway spot, my daughter loved feeding the goats from the back deck and finding one of them sleeping behind the shower window was super fun. Loved exploring Fitzroy falls which was just a short drive away and getting the fireplace going in the evening to wind down."

"Werona Cottage was the most beautiful place to stay to wind down and relax after a difficult few months. The fit out and choice of fixtures is very considered. Everything is well thought out, classic, stylish and private. The location is perfect! Unfortunately the famous pub was closed for renovation. I would definitely recommend this beautifully equiped little cottage. I can't wait to stay again."

"The spa pool was a big disappointment. It’s an outside, plastic, Bunnings style. Water was dirty. Internally, very comfortable but not as clean as necessary. The curtains are hanging off the rods in places. 2 ladies staying for 3 nights but only 2 coffee pods provided. Hair in the shower and no electric blankets. Oh dear. "

The property was beautiful to wander through - stunning trees, private corners, open vistas, ponds, birdlife (not to mention the palatial chook run). We valued both the privacy (our own driveway and entrance, and we didn't actually see our hosts) and the personal touches - text check that everything ok, notes on the seriously amazing breakfast eggs, from the hens. We were looking simply for some privacy and peace and...

"Genuinely a nice place, extremely well presented. Both the bed, and the chairs in the lounge area, are comfortable (a nice change from some of the places I've stayed at). The owner, Bruce, is a very affable guy, and I'm happy to recommend this place for a quiet getaway."

"There was no reception and no wifi available despite what the listing says. We had to book another place as I needed to check into work. Owner was very dismissive of the problem Also he sent us the wrong pin so sent us on a 30 minute round trip. Spider webs and hair were in the shower/bedroom and there’s no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Couldn’t open the window as so many spiders just outside the window "
