The room and property were clean and well maintained, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. "We loved that this is an independent hotel and small business. The owner is a local and cares about Montclair. The interior is decorated brilliantly and has a clever motif. For example, the rooms don't have numbers, they have names. Inside each room you will find photos of famous people with that name. It's a fun game to guess who each of these people are and some of them may surprise you. Breakfast was included and some of the offerings came from local businesses. Parking was ample, which is a big deal in this area of Montclair. The hotel is also ideally placed within walking distance from many of the major attractions in town; it's nice to park the car in one, safe, location and be able to get to many of the places that makes this town special. Check-in and check-out is easy. We also loved the candy bar!"
