"The breakfast was amazing"

"We had a lovely stay at Hotel Schlosspalais! The hotel was quaint, warm and welcoming, with a beautiful view of Wernigerode Castle right from our room. The location was fantastic, just a short walk to the charming old town with plenty of shops and restaurants to explore. Breakfast was delicious and the service was wonderful throughout our stay. A lovely place to stay while visiting Wernigerode!"

"Large hotel in the centre of Wernigerode about 10 mins walk from the railway station. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. Room comfortable and clean. The hotel does seem to have a number of coach parties so can get busy at times."

Hotel was conveniently located a short walk from the train station, bus station, grocery store, restaurants, and the main shopping district downtown. Recommended."

The next day we spoke to the only receptionist there who couldn't speak English and was using a translation app, she admitted the mistake and promised to try to exchange the room for an apartment or deduct the city tax which is a very small amount! Fortunately they were able to change rooms but due to lack of time...

"Should have been told it was not a hotel. Difficult to check in. Did not receive how to get Key to room instructions before I arrived or instructions on how to check out. Room had a kitchen but no silverware/utensils. I got to the address and wandered around for a half an hour trying to figure out how to get into my room or even where my room was after flying for 14 hours. Luckily I found a cleaning person in a nearby room who helped me find a key to get into my room. I had no one I could...
