"Everything we would expect from a hotel of this type. Clean, helpful staff, excellent dinner and breakfast, good beer, easy to park, windows that opened to let in freash air. Just great. Kedgeree for breakfast a particular delight. One slightly wobbly tap, that was it"

"Suited my needs perfectly!! The room was small but adequate for me as a single traveller for an overnight stay. The hosts are helpful and accommodating. There is a fridge and a microwave in the room which proved useful and the bed was comfortable. The shared bathroom was pristine with a walk in shower. There is a kitchen and basic breakfast items are provided. There was tea bags, sugar and milk in the room with a kettle. As this is a house that you share with other guests I was mindful of the need to be respectfully quiet not just for other guests but for the neighbours. Perfect for solo travellers either passing through the area or attending a gig or a show or perhaps an overnight visit to family that live locally and have no additional space. Highly recommended as stopover accommodation."

"Wir hatten ein paar wundervolle Tage an diesem zauberhaften, ruhigen Ort. Dartmoor, Plymouth und die Westküste/Cornwall sind super zu erreichen. Man kann aber herrlich auch einfach die Seele baumeln lassen. In Bere Alston gibt es zwei kleine Supermärkte und eine Haltestelle vom Zug. Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet. Der morgendliche Blick auf den Fluss aus dem Bett heraus ist einfach herrlich! Frische Eier, Milch und Brot haben uns bei der Ankunft begrüßt :) Jonathan war super freundlich und hilfsbereit."
