"Shame really, the staff were super friendly and helpful, but the building and facilities are tired and in sore need of updating. The room was clean but the bed uncomfortable and springy, pillows were flat. It would be really good value for money if you got a good night's sleep, but sadly the matress was not co-operating. We will be visiting Barry often on family matters, and would love to have found a nice place to stopover, but uncomfortable beds aren't worth it. Sadly we'll not be staying again. "

"Location and parking great, ASDA close by, very comfortable, plenty of tea/coffee and staff very friendly. Just as a North American, i found the bathtub hard to climb in and out of. Great stay."

"Was easy to get to from Cardiff, initial train ride and then a bus which stopped right outside the hotel. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Will stay again."

"Pluses: good location, quirky property, clean, check in easy, beds really comfy, linen and towels sparkly white Not so good: entrance pretty dire (expected given reviews), could be better equipped (sleeps 6, but only 3 forks, 4 dining chairs, 4 side plates, no chopping board, grill pan etc), bedrooms sparse - really just a hanging rail (no tables, chest of drawers etc despite plenty of room, so no where to put a bag or anything), on a busy riad and quite noisy (especislly given flimsy curtains that dont draw), boiler also really noisy"

"Lovely house, clean and warm when we arrived. Spacious rooms and kitchen - crisp white bed linen and fluffy white towels. Beds and furniture all in very good order and comfortable. Stylish rooms with quirky lighting. Area quiet with local shops nearby. Good off road parking too. Just a little niggle - this house was for 8 - only 6 dining chairs which was awkward for family dinners."
