A wonderfully-quiet but charming and well-situated gem in central old Bordeaux. The room was small but beautiful and had everything you would need. Reception staff were friendly, welcoming and proactively helpful, allowing us to check in early when we asked to leave our bag. The only downside I would mention is that the en suite toilet is of the 'wall-mounted' (rather than floor-mounted) variety and apart from being extremely unstable, creaked awfully when sitting on it, which made both of us very self-conscious.

A small hidden gem in downtown Bordeaux, just steps away from the Place Gambetta. Very intriguing how the old thick stone walls gave a comforting feel, and how well they paired with the inside and the tasteful setup. The old stairwell alone is awesome! Definitively high on my list of places to stay for my return.

Absolute wonderful location. Prime spot in Bordeaux. Walking distance to everything. Room is small but serves its purpose to sleep as you’re out late at night anyways. Staff available 24/7. Speak English well. Very helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommend!

We spent three lovely nights at this adorable and perfectly located hotel in the heart of Bordeaux. La Tour Intendance is exactly the type of place we enjoy staying when visiting cities in France and Europe in general. It is quaint with historic features and feels very much part of the historic part of Bordeaux. Its location is a short walk from the nearest Tram line (to the airport or other parts of the city), and to explore the city on foot. The street itself, while only a few moments walk from busier roads and the old town, is a beautiful curved primarily pedestrian street. This was especially enjoyable while sitting at their outside tables with a coffee or a bottle of wine. The staff are absolutely lovely. I made an enquiry before even booking and received a timely and helpful response regarding the possibility/process for a late check in. In person everyone we interacted with were a delight. We will stay here again without question the next time we visit Bordeaux.
