"Food and service are excellent, we had a lovely evening and breakfast this morning was also delicious. Only downside was the room, bedroom was fine, but the bathroom was poor, really needs an update, along with a shower that actually works. "

"Myself and 5 friends stayed for the weekend. It had everything that you could possible need and more. With short walks to a few pubs/restaurants and a short drive to beautiful walks and shops. We will definitely be hoping to return again. Lots of space outside with the sun all day with breath taking views."

"The cottage is so lovely and cosy. It had everything we needed. A great base for walks and only a 10 to 15 minutes walk to the local village pub, which we would recommend. Another excellent choice for food was The Wheatsheaf Inn at Carperby. Any questions we had were answered by our host. She was very welcoming. We would definitely stay again."

"River Dance cottage is a comfortable.clean and well presented holiday stay. The owners go to great lengths to ensure you feel welcome, and also have everything you need. A welcome pack of wine and tasty cookies are left for you to enjoy, the cottage has a fitted kitchen with all amenities. The towels are thick and fluffy too. Beds are well made and comfortable and the bathrooms have everything you need from shampoo and conditioner to hand soap. Highly recommend a stay here, it’s a shame we couldn’t have stayed longer, it’s an excellent base to explore the area from."

"This was a fantastic cottage with all the mod cons and incredibly clean, lovely beds and towels and biscuits and milk left for us also.We did think there would be a back garden with grass as we had taken our little dog with us but there was'nt. My husband did find a very large field with right of way about 2 mins walk away so little dog loved it so not so much of a problem. "

"Great place to stay. Very comfortable and roomy. The kitchen was stocked in a practical way such that we could easily cook good food on the evenings when we didn’t dine out. The barn was a superb retreat on the days when it was rainy. The owners were kind enough to provide a generous helping of wood if we had needed a fire. In addition, there were some treats awaiting us on arrival: Prosecco (bottle), china mugs to take away & a voucher to use at the excellent local restaurant."
