"The staff was generally helpful. The photos shown on Hotels.com were misleading. If the reception area pictured actually exists I don’t know where it would be as the entire motel is a old style one story drive up motel. “Reception” is basically the gas station/ convenience store in front and you have to wake someone up if you arrive late..The front of the motel was overgrown with weeds. The door to our room was dirty and needed painting as did the cabinetry under the sink. The shower curtain was too long for the tub and shower and was very mildew stained at the bottom, probably because it can’t dry properly. We also needed a plunger one night at 9:30 pm and never got it. With some TLC it could be a nice vintage motel. Right now not so much."

"We had a wonderful stay at the "Country" cabin (the third one on the side). The inside of the cabin was exactly as pictured on the site—very clean, quaint, and comfortable. It is located close to the owner’s residence, and sitting outside on the deck listening to the birds chirp was beautiful and relaxing.The Perfect Location for WaterfallsThis cabin was the perfect base camp for our waterfall adventures. We were able to easily visit:Twin FallsGreat FallsPiney FallsFall Creek FallsLost Creek FallsCrane Creek FallsBurgess Falls / Cummins Falls (about an hour away)Food NearbyWe found some great local spots during our trips:Renea's Kitchen At Midway (excellent for a meal near the cabin)Lazy Cow Creamery (perfect for ice cream)Gio's Pizzeria in Cookeville (a great stop when visiting Cummins Falls)A Few Things to NoteWhile we loved our stay, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. When all the cabins are fully booked, you are positioned very close to the neighboring cabin, which takes away a little bit of the privacy and peacefulness when sitting on the deck. Also, a local woodpecker acted as our early morning alarm clock!Overall, it’s a beautiful, clean place to stay if you looking to explore the nearby falls."

"A peaceful haven! Throughout the entire cabin it was extremely clean. We thought the kitchen amenities were great for making meals, packing lunches, grilling, etc. Water pressure was great. The bed slept well. We thoroughly enjoyed coffee on the deck every morning listening and watching all of the birds. The bushes were alive! So extremely relaxing with the river right there. We had a couple interactions with Curt, both which were quick responses and very friendly. If we are back in the area again, we will be staying here."

"The employees and community were all friendly and helpful once again. I would highly recommend this as a stay to visit Fall State Falls State Park. Drive was scenic and quiet, and the coffee from the cafe did it's trick for the drive up the mountain. Highly recommend."

"The Hampton Inn McMinnville was an excellent host for my stay there along with 20 or so others. The breakfast bar (included) was fantastic with a great selection and quantity to choose from. We reserved a meeting room close to the breakfast area to set up our own area to relax as a group with a buffet and bar for drinks. The staff and especially the night manager were extremely accommodating and responsive to our group needs. The only issue I encountered in my room (201) was the bathroom sink needs the stopper assembly adjusted so the stopper more firmly contacts the sink to keep water in the basin; it currently allows water to slow leak which is annoying and wasteful."

"Very clean! The check in and check out process was seamless. Beautiful location and close enough to restaurants and things to do if you choose to do some sightseeing during your stay. Absolutely loved the zen room! You can tell the hosts put a lot of effort into this location. Will definitely book another stay!"
