We are from the US and were expecting an attendant to check us in. Once we understood the automated process, we were OK. By US standards, the hotel room was very small and spartan, but clean. Only five TV channels, all in Danish. Only a couple towels. Two of the tiniest beds I've ever seen. The room was also very hot at night with no AC, especially after the sun heated up the walls and drapes during the relatively warm days we had. We tried to open the door to the outside but traffic roaring past in the middle of the night woke us up. There was a shared community kitchen with full amenities and some shared coffee and food; that was appreciated.

Pros: Easy to access the room, you are sent codes on the day of your stay and this is easy as long as you have access to emails/the app. Good location, pleasant 15min walk along the village highstreet to the train station. Lots of plug sockets in room. Cons: Cleanliness was ok but not great. Floor wasn't well hoovered but bathroom was clean. Entire hotel was really hot despite the weather being in the high teens. Opening the window felt insecure as it led directly onto the shared balcony. Bathroom extractor fan was hanging off the ceiling. Shared kitchen was smelly and badly equipped. No kettle, mugs or water cups in rooms. Small towels and hand-wash only, no shower gel.

This is a "capsule hotel" meaning you get a text message or email with a door code the morning of your stay and then you can get into your room. This is fine but you need to have some kind of connectivity to read those messages. I found the place quiet and pleasant; somewhere in-between a hotel and a hostel, with people in the morning willing to talk and hang out. However, the only way to contact the staff is by cellphone; there is no staff on-site. So when there are screaming toddlers running up and down the halls or there is a problem with something there is no way to contact people because they aren't there. The price is excellent, though, it is a fifteen-minute walk from the train station (and a walk through a lovely small town that is worth the visit for itself) and the rooms are comfortable. Bikerod itself is worth a visit. I would definitely stay here again. The bar next door is an old Danish "brown pub" which is populated with serious drinkers... old guys who show up at 9am for their first beer and leave late in the evening. There are a bunch of reviews on the internet from people saying they were treated poorly there, but I liked the place myself. Just go in and be respectful and don't act like a goddamn tourists, just be quiet and drink a beer. The beer is good, but there is no food.

The entry was reaĺly smooth. I got the correct codes sent to my mobile and everything worked immediatelly. The sheets and linen were clean and the floor vacuumed. Bath was a near catastrophy. Seating on the toilet was in bad shape. The inside of the toilet would have needed a scrubbing. The shower had lime all over the place, but it worked at least. The tiles were dark with stuff that looked like mold. But at least it was cheap.

B-standards....

I don't normally leave reviews, but can't let this pass. Poor up keep was apparent from the ill fitting curtains and power socket. But really appalling was the lack of hygiene. I found little fly-like bugs in both single beds. Not wanting company for the night I checked out early. I have tried reaching out to the hotel via telephone, email, and hotels.com chat but yet to hear back from them. Perhaps I shouldn’t be surprised about their lack of customer support.

Der Checkin mit Code war problemlos, das Zimmer war sauber.Badezimmer ziemlich abgewohnt und teilweise mit Schimmel in den Ecken, es gab auch weder Shampoo noch Duschgel und auch keinen Fön. Positiv zu erwähnen ist der große GratisParkplatz, in der Beschreibung war zwar angegeben, dass im selben Gebäude ein Geschäft ist, wo man u.a. auch Brot kaufen kann, dem war nicht so. Der Ort mit Geschäften ist aber in 10 Minuten zu erreichen. Die Fenster konnte man nur nach außen kippen, wenn man wegging, konnte man sie demnach nicht offen lassen. Im Zimmer war es dadurch sehr warm.Alles in allem ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Alt er rent på hotellet, det være sig på værelset og mellemgangene og køkkensektionen, hvor sidstnævnte, er til fri afbenyttelse for hotellets gæster. Adgangsforholdene er utraditionelle, men når man først kende dem, så er det bare OK. Der findes både trappe adgang og elevator adgang, så også det er bare OK. Alt i alt en god oplevelse og kan anbefales.

Hotel B minder mest af alt om et vandrehjem! Godt med et fælles køkken, men det var meget nedslidt og i køleskabet fandtes flere måneders gamle madvarer. Der blev dog ryddet op, da vi nævnte det for rengøringen. Værelserne små med dårlig udluftning på både værelse og bad. Meget tør luft og indelukket, men der var rent og sengene ok. Havde dog forventet en anden standard ud fra billeder og beskrivelse!

Rigtig nemt at bruge koder til døren. Værelset var dejligt stille og roligt. Fint og funktionelt køkken. Der manglede ikke noget, og der var pænt og rent. Det er et perfekt sted som vandrehjem og korte ophold
