Lakefront cottage, construction 2023, with 300 ft private beach on Lake Huron

"Everything about Marina’s Lake Cabin far exceeded our expectations! The modern open concept layout, nice sized rooms, cathedral ceilings and everything on one floor made it feel very spacious. Everything was relatively new and clean and good quality. The primary bedroom with its en-suite made the difference for our family needs. Having two bathrooms was a real plus. The softened water and RO for drinking water was helpful. The propane grill and tools worked great each night for dinner. Outside was private enough, not right next to other cabins, and the beach was only a few steps out the front door. We especially loved walking along the beach, finding many Petosky stones, watching the evening sunsets, paddling the kayak along the shore, and making s’mores in the fire pit. We thoroughly enjoyed our time exploring the Alpena area and taking advantage of the beach and the grounds. Our hosts Marina and Sergey were helpful and timely with all their communications and made our stay a wonderful experience! Thanks!"

"Cozy home right on the water that feels like you are staying at a family member's home.As soon as you enter the home you can tell that this was someone's house...not just a house that was purchased for renting. I immediately felt like I was staying at a favorite aunt's house. Loved that it was right on the water with the perfect sized dock to take out the available kayaks. The 3 season porch was a great place to watch the sunset, play cards, or just relax. I appreciated the kitchen pantry with olive oil, S&P and some seasonings - made cooking our few meals much easier!For awareness, this home does have well water - not a big deal but if you aren't used to it, it might a surprise. Patti does supply drinking water (water cooler in the corner) which is a really nice touch!If you are looking for a place that is off the beaten path, relaxing, and well loved, this is place for you."
