The Hotel is at convenience location. It is very close to train and bus stop. Hotel is clean but the shower floor has standing water. Bed is too low.

Pretty Hotel in great location

The hotel is in an early 20th century building with historic flavor and high ceilings. The rooms have a decent modern interior. I liked the place as it is a great contrast to the usual business hotels. Breakfast buffet is excellent, staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in a neighborhood with plenty of restaurants, bars and cafés and just a few steps away from a subway station. My only small complaint is the WiFi as it requires a login procedure for each new use.

Mukava hotelli toimiston lähellä, täydellinen liikematkoille. Lähistöllä on ravintoloita ja pari pientä kauppaa, joten syöminen hoituu helposti samoin kuin unohtuneen hammasharjan ostaminen. Huoneessa on minibaari, joten jotain pientä saa kylmäänkin tarvittaessa. Kiva aamiainen, munia ja pekonia saa halutessaan tuoreesti paistettuna. Vegaanien kannattaa hihkaista etukäteen, jotta hotelli osaa varautua aamiaistarpeilla. Langaton verkko on ollut saksalaiseksi ihan ok toimiva.

Charmante Tradition in Kreuzberg

Das Hotel liegt sehr verkehrsgünstig, nahe U-Bahn-Station Mehringdamm, 20 min vom Hauptbahnhof entfernt. In den umliegenden Straßen gibt es viele Cafes und insbesondere auf der Bergmannstrasse eine Vielfalt guter Restaurants. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam, das Frühstück gut, die Räumlichkeiten strahlen einen altehrwürdigen Charme aus mit viel Originalkunstwerken an den Wänden, sogar in den Zimmern. Die Betten würden ein upgrade verdienen und es empfiehlt sich ein Zimmer nach hinten heraus zu reservieren, wegen der relativ stark befahrenen Yorkstrasse vorne.

Quaint, charming little place with good breakfast

Quaint, charming old building with cool photos decorating the interior. Breakfast is excellent with bacon and eggs and lots of other choices. Hotel staff genuinely wanted to help out with this or that. The Mehringdamm area nearby has lots of late night clubbing and cheap eats. Also, it’s an easy trip from there to either Tegel airport (25 euros for a taxi) or Schonefeld (easy ride on U-Bahn/bus that costs 3.4 Euros and takes 45 minutes).

Well located, but sorely in need of more love

The staff were attentive and pleasant. Room and bath sizes were as advertised. However, notwithstanding the "4 stars" on the brass plate at the reception, this hotel is 3 stars at best, on a very good day. The smell of dust hangs heavy in the air, in reception, in the stairwell and in the room. The carpet in the rooms is best described as "kindergarten library". Does being a single guest really mean only 1 modest bath towel that is NOT changed in 3 days? I chose the hotel for its location in Kreuzberg and that was great.

A smaller hotel, with spacious rooms in a pretty older building. The coffee and tea service in the room was great & it was very clean. The neighborhood has many restaurants and cafes to walk to. Also a subway line very near.

Hotel befindet sich an Schnellstraße

Das Personal war super. Das Gebäude ist älter und sehr hübsch und die Lage wunderbar. Leider hatten wir ein Zimmer zur Straße, da es alte Fenster sind, fand man in der Samstag Nacht keinen Schlaf. Jeden einzelnen Bus hörte man stoppen. Ein Zimmerwechsel sollte nur gegen Aufpreis "für Ruhe" möglich sein, das war sehr enttäuschend. Für diese Preiskategorie erwartet man besten Schlaf, tolles sauberes Ambiente der Zimmer und grandioses Frühstück. Alles Dreis war unbefriedigend. Man bekam den Eindruck "keiner hatte Lust" auf Gäste. Für diesen Preis suche ich mir lieber ein anderes schönes Hotel in der Hauptstadt.
