"I stayed one night in Room 519, directly opposite the lifts. Despite requesting a quiet room, the lifts sounded like a V8 Supercar taking off until around 1am, then started again about 6am. I was sick and exhausted, so it made for a terrible night’s sleep.
On the plus side, walking into the room initially felt like stepping onto the set of a Pedro Almodóvar film – bold colours, dramatic styling and wonderfully cinematic. Personally, I think it would have been even more striking had they kept...
