The Hotel Leo is a beautifully renovated hotel in downtown Bellingham. It's a great place from which to explore the area's restaurants and attractions.
This is fun down town location with in a easy walk to restaurants and activities around the down town core.
The rooms are clean, well maintained and the bed was amazing!
Clean room. Very polite and helpful staff. Didn’t take advantage of trying out the bar or restaurants inside the hotel but the location of the hotel was fine.
Woman at check in this time (October 16th&17th) was a bit officious and pedantic ("I'm holding on to this room key until you give me your phone number and email because Expedia shows them as 00")and uninterested in helping us "I don't know anything about electric vehicle charging". Both encounters were unpleasant.
Last time (September 12th), the staff were *excellent*
We had to cut short our stay on urgent business, but the hotel was lovely! Staff were extra friendly and relaxed, the lobby has some interesting historical tidbits, and the room had a microwave, mid-sized fridge, premium tea and coffee, water kettle, a portable A/C unit and quiet standing fan.
Second stay at Hotel Leo. Very nice Hotel with a lot of fantastic history. Well maintained, friendly staff with updated rooms. Great central location for walking and visiting restaurants and bars, as well as shopping.
Only two drawbacks are limited parking and the beds are too low to the floor.
I enjoyed the lovely view of the bay, the comfy couch, the ability to watch a movie on Netflix, and the walkable downtown in the vicinity of the hotel.
The hotel is in a great location! Plenty of great coffee shops and restaurants right there.
We arrived late and the front desk staff was very nice and accommodating to what we needed.
The hotel is older but nice. Our room was great for what we needed. The bathroom could have been a bit cleaner and the bathtub was slow draining which is kinda yucky.
Hotel Leo is located right in the middle of everything. We were able to walk everywhere. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The lobby is beautiful and elegantly furnished and we even found a little Sun deck. We’ll be back!
The property was lovely….clean, friendly staff and very convenient to all we had planned in town. Our only disappointment….We wished the bar had stayed open later on a Friday evening.
Hotel Leo is centrally located downtown. We went to farmers market, bars and restaurants with no ubers and never moved the car. The hotel is a museum with a tour. The rooms are former apartments, so large and spacious. The staff were all great. Natalie and Emma were super helpful.
Staff is very accommodating and friendly, clear instructions for getting around town. Bring a screwdriver with you to the bathroom in case the door handle gets loose and you can’t get out, though.
The hotel is beautiful, in an older refurbished way. It's obvious a lot of thought and work has gone into the hotel. Our room was spacious, although the bathroom was small in line with how things were built years ago-it didn't bother us. Things were clean, although we found a pair of left behind shoes under our bed. Staff was friendly and helpful, free parking was appreciated. We also liked the coffee and tea provided, along with having a full kitchen.
The drawbacks were old windows, (but it would probably be no small cost to replace them), and some street noise, which, with the sound screen on our phones, didn't bother us and didn't continue late on a Sunday night.
The odd thing was that we were told there was only heat from 7pm-midnight when the boilers were on. The room was chilly when we 1st arrived and we got some space heaters from the desk when we asked how to turn on the heat. The explanation was that we were on the old side of the building. We couldn't understand how heat could only be provided for 5 hours out of 24, and it's not clear what they do when the weather is truly cold, except provide space heaters if asked-?
Overall a pretty good stay
