The hotel is very authentic, with wooden floors through out, steeped in history and very charming. The location is excellent if you do not have a car at your disposal, and the area has lots to see and find to do, will definately be visiting the area , and most probably the hotal again.
Quite a nice hotel situated in central town. Close to all amenities. The staff were very understanding as overnight I felt unwell…
And they were more than accommodating to let me check out late as a result of this.

The hotel is in a handy central location in the town, with plenty of easy parking.
The staff were welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed drinks and tea in the lounge/bar area.
The room was a reasonable size, but allowing space just for a smaller double bed. The en Suite bathroom was fine, except for a broken toilet seat.
Breakfast in the spacious dining room was pleasant, with a good choice of continental and cooked items.
Overall a good place to stay.
The main areas are very old but well kept.
We had a ‘newer’ room, which was clean and tidy.
The hotel is in a great position in Banbury.
Would happily stay again, the staff were faultless.
The old coach entrance to the hotel car park is quite tight. We have a zafira tourer and pulled the wing mirrors in for a little bit more manoeuvring room. The hotel parking is free which is nice, if your vehicle is very wide you will have to park at the front of the hotel which is council owned and has a fee.
Beautiful hotel , large room . Friendly staff easy access to shops and restaurants around . Parking easy and safe . Great vibes . No AC but was a fan there and well ventilated windows
Excellent stay would definitely return, staff really helpful asked for some bread for toast and the staff went and toasted it for us and brought it to table, great service
The staff were friendly and professional looking to make our stay comfortable.
The room was a good size, clean and comfortable. There was a good selection for breakfast which was a great way to start the day.
It’s a great place to stay and it had a car park for our hire car.

Room was baking hot and pillows were too hard. If you get put in the attic rooms during this heat, ask to me moved lower down. TV was too loud in the restaurant/ bar area.
Nice garden and breakfast was good
What a lovely old building. Loads of character and good outdoor seating area too. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice.
I had to ask for soap dispensers to be filled. That should have been checked but they remedied it quickly. I would stay again.
Room was very nice, recently upgraded by the looks of it. Location great and parking was free, just need to put your reg number in at the reception. Breakfast was great too, wide choice to choose from.

The hotel is dated in places but they do seem to be doing upgrades. The rooms are basic but have everything you need. The room did get a little hot at night so the fan provided was useful. The staff were amazing I cannot fault them in any way
