The rooms are nice and spacious. The landscaping and beach access are great. Good spa area and wellness spaces. However overall the shared spaces such as pools and restaurants are tired and in need of an upgrade. The staff were nice but there seemed to be a lot of miscommunication between staff members ...

The staff here deserve all the credit, they couldn’t do enough for us from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. Everything was clean and comfortable, the pool area was lovely, looking out on the ocean. I would highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be back again.

We took two enjoyable day trips to see several "must-see" parts of Mauritius, but we spent most of our time enjoying The Ravenala Attitude facilities and romantic manicured tropical grounds. We felt little need to explore the Balaclava environs.
Superb resort
It's a good location to do things in the North and in Port Louis. To go South of the Island you have to beat the traffic which can be a nightmare.
Pretty much the dirty armpit of Mauritius, which has a lot of armpits.
