"Hotel Ruby was a good stay, we needed the convenience of being able to walk to the convention center. The free breakfast Nextdoor at Rosie’s was great and the communication from the hotel before/during/after our stay was fantastic! Hotel itself is just ok, more of a motel style, AC was a little loud but worked great. Rooms were well insulated we couldn’t hear much outside."

"This is a beautiful hotel and walking distance to so much. I was disappointed that at check in there was only one person on duty and I had to wait 15 minutes to check in because the man in front of me had some sort of problem. Same goes for checking out. There was no key drop box that I could see and she was helping someone. When I asked if I could just give her my key she got an attitude. I was surprised with a hotel of that size that only one person was at the desk especially for check ins."

"Hotel staff were helpful and somewhat friendly. It was nice that they had someone at the front desk 24 hours. Bathroom was a bit cramped. Pillows were too small. The room had updated amenities but cold have used a new paint job. The breakfast buffet wasn't too bad, they had bagels, toast, cereal, oatmeal, make your own waffles, juice, coffee. The trash from the previous morning was still full which was kind of gross but it wasn't overflowing. They wiped down the tables and chairs after breakfast was over. A lot of the amenities still had the name of the previous hotel on it. Towels weren't the cleanest, one of my bath towels had a weird black stain on it. Location was convenient, only a 10 minute walk to the riverfront mall. Didn't notice anyone loitering in the lobby or parking lot. I felt secure. No bed bugs either which is great. Hotel is on a busy street, I could hear everything from my hotel room. Cars playing loud music, ambulances. However, I would stay here again. You get what you pay for, this isn't a 5 star hotel obviously but it was a nice enough stay for a few nights. I would recommend staying here if you are on a budget."
