"Breakfast good and car parking at hotel. Superior room clean but shame after phone calls and request on email and on booking to not get a room with a balcony for a guest with additional needs spending more time in hotel room."

"On arrival we were welcomed by the very friendly receptionist. Even though we were early, the room was ready and welcoming. The hotel is old and full of character but tastefully decorated, giving an airy feeling. It appears to have been recently refurbished to a good standard. The bed was very comfortable and the large bathroom had a really good over bath shower! Breakfast was very pleasing! Staff were friendly and attentive, providing everything we needed. The food was fresh and beautifully cooked, locally sourced. Nothing was too much trouble. The only disappointment was not having a garden as advertised, but this was explained. We had a very pleasant few days."

"A very pleasant and convenient base for a short Dorset stay. Room very clean and comfortable and usefully a restaurant and bar on site if you didn't want to go out to eat. Good comprehensive breakfast offering too, Our room did look out over adjacent building rooftops -not great - maybe request more open view room. There was a very active mini race track adjacent too but noise stopped early evening - you can see that on Google Earth. Overall, with great staff and good value we would use again happily"

"Great location to the city centre and park right opposite for discounted rate from the hotel £10 per 24hrs staff really helpfull we were able to check in early which was a bonus everything was nice and clean would recommend"
