The staff was great especially the guy that worked day shift. He had them open breakfast early for us and walked us 2 blocks to where our bus was leaving for our tour. Breakfast was very good and comfortable room and close to attractions.
The staff were amazing and helpful, the room was clean. It is in a very convenient location. Bathroom was older and hot water took a while to warm up at times.
Front desk staff was always helpful, especially Amiran, who always patiently answered our questions and tried to give us information and assistance. The breakfast left a LOT to be desired, but at least it was included. The room was spotless, bathroom tiny and the air conditioning worked very well.
Great budget friendly hotel. Close to Omonia Square which was super convenient for the hop on hop off bus. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again if I go back to Athens.
Basic rooms clean but somewhat small. Area is a bit loud at night. Close to metro. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a nice continental spread. Overall good value for price

As said before by others, the street and neighborhood is very bad. Even if there’s a police station in the same street 100 meters away. Many junkies and homeless people. Who also several at night so we woke up many times. The upside is that a main metro station is close by.
Reception staff very friendly, breakfast crew is helpful.
Elevators are tiny and extremely slow.

Great value for money, the staff kind and professional. Close to all the attractions (20 min calm walk from the Acropolis). Bad point is the neighborhood, some homeless drunk that are screaming till late hours, but this it's not the hotel fault.
Clean hotel with superb breakfast that includes carpaccino. Staff go out of their way to help you. Amazingly cheap also. I would highly recommend.

A great budget hotel about 30min away from the main tourist areas. Alas we didn't have a high level holder for the shower head but the room was fine for us with comfy beads, air conditioning and a balcony for relaxing at the end of the day.

The staff was excellent but the hotel didn't have laundry or a gym as advertised. Elevators were scary and need a makeover. Some of the noises from outside were unnerving as the area has many drug users and prostitutes in the area.
The hotel is very good for the price. Rooms are clean, staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast is good. But the location is not so good. It’s conveniently located near a metro stop. But the area is extremely run down, with drug addicts and homeless people everywhere.
Was gd and friendly. Worth it if going out mainly and then heading back to relax at the end of the day from being out

Most of the staff were great. The hotel is situated in a bit of a challenging area, but like in most places, the druggies keep to themselves. The situation was much better than I had imagined. Good value.

Athens Choice is suitable for a quick, budget-friendly stay if you’re not expecting much beyond the basics. The location is definitely the highlight, close to hop-on/hop-off bus stops and surrounded by plenty of great food options. The staff were genuinely kind and extremely welcoming, which was a refreshing touch and one of the better aspects of our stay. Unfortunately, the breakfast didn’t live up to the hype in other reviews. It was served cold, and the boiled eggs looked like they’d been made the day before. We ended up grabbing something nearby in the square. Overall, if you're just passing through and prioritize location over comfort, it does the job. But don’t come expecting a full 3-star experience.
The hotel is very clean and the staff is wonderful. Breakfast is nice. The hotel is located very close to the metro and good restaurants a 5 minutes walk. The metro takes you to Acropolis/Parthenon and Greek people are very nice. The only thing is the area around the hotel is full of graffiti and it’s dirty but all Athens is like that. We saw 5 star hotels areas the same. However, police headquarters is 200 meters from the hotel. We were told homeless people never bother anyone and the area is safe. We felt safe all the time even walking at night.

Omonia is a Dirty, Run-down area!!
The Dirty, Run-Down area full of Homeless people and Hookers ruins this Hotel’s location!! Room is small but adequate for an overnight stay. I’d skip this area if you’re in Athens for a few days though as Monastiraki, Plaka and Acropolis precincts have a much more pleasant atmosphere with a huge selection of outdooor cafe’s, bars, restaurants & shopping!
Very friendly and helpful staff. The double room is perfect and the breakfast is good. The hotel is very near from de city center, only 15/20 minutos to Monastiraki by walk. The only negative thing is the extrange people in the streets around Omonia Square. They are harmless but some people can be afraid of being troubed or stolen. Anyway, there are a police station in the hotel street. A parking is just in front of the hotel, in case you go by car.

It was OK for one night. Cons: the shower stall is tiny and uncomfortable. The breakfast was very basic. The area outside seems a bit shady and it was very noisy at night. I saw a syringe on the ground right outside the hotel entrance. Pros: the hotel is only 20 mins away from the Acropolis; plenty of dining options; free street parking available.
The room was clean and most off the staff was very helpful, one evening a lady at the reception did not speak English and just waved her arms for not understanding us not trying to help either. Another thing is that you can hear everything that is happening in the hallway, neighbors showering ande talking on the phone. The price was cheap, but would not book a room there again
