Cozy home in Appeville
Enjoy a relaxing vacation in this historic house near the beaches of the English Channel.
Nestled in the heart of the Cotentin Marshes Natural Park, close to the D-Day landing beaches of Normandy, this house will appeal to nature and history lovers alike. The house itself is an old rectory with views of the surrounding countryside and church spire. It was built in 1750 from local stone and the original stone staircase is still in place. Enjoy the ambience of the house, which has been renovated and tastefully decorated, with plenty of exposed original stonework and a mix of antique and modern furniture to create a cozy atmosphere.
There is a lovely garden to the front of the house, an orchard to the side and a wildflower meadow to the rear which is full of wildflowers and butterflies in spring and summer.
The area is well known for its wildfowl in all seasons, with observatories close by and breeding storks nearby. There are cycle paths and nature walks in the immediate vicinity. The property is only a short drive from the large sandy beaches of the west coast and from the Normandy landing beaches on the east coast. Many more beautiful beaches are within 1 hour's drive to the north coast of the peninsula and beyond.
Please note that: Bed linen and towels are included in the room rate in 2025. Consumption costs are included in the room rate.
