The was my second stay at this cabin, and it was amazing both times. The host was very responsive to any questions we had and we had no issues whatsoever during our stay. Highly recommend this cabin if you want privacy and to be about as close as possible to the river.
This was our 2nd time staying at the cabin. Location is perfect! You can walk to the river and enjoy a swim, rope swing & exploring!
Cabin is equipped with everything one needs, AC works great, clean & an amazing porch to sit and enjoy family!
One of the most relaxing and peaceful vacations we've ever had. The host, Heather, was available for any questions and her personal touches at the cabin were appreciated...so thoughtful!
Enjoyed our stay. Nice secluded location. Cabin and river access was outstanding. Fishing, swimming, tubing, sitting on the front porch watching and listening to the rain on the tin rooftop was just what we needed.
Wonderful place to stay while kayaking the Black River. Clean, well stocked, super communication from the host. If you are looking for a very quiet cabin and the serenity of the woods, look no further.
We loved the cabin, it was clean and well kept. Google maps led us astray, but I called the owner and she got us right there. I loved the location, but wish it wasn’t such a long gravel road to get there. I’ll still go back anyway!
Our family had an awesome stay here! Super cozy cabin. The location is remote - down a long gravel road - we drove the truck, but I think a mini van could have made it just fine. The cabin is very close to the Black River with beautiful beach access.
We would definitely come back again!
My only complaint is that the light fixtures and fans were very dirty with lots of spiderwebs. Wonderful cabin, but could use a deeper cleaning.
We had a lovely time at the cabin! We stayed for the total eclipse and enjoyed a quiet private viewing in the woods! Our two little dogs were very happy at the property. The road leading down is a little bit rough, but that is the last 3 mile leg of the journey. You can hike up a nearby hill for cell reception if you need to connect, but the best part of this cabin was unplugging and relaxing. The short walk down the road leads to the large gravel riverbank. Fun for fossil hunting, skipping rocks, and fishing! Thank you for your hospitality!
We celebrated my son’s 14th birthday with a weekend stay in the cabin and kayak trip from Jeff’s Canoe Rental. It was perfect!! Cabin had everything we needed including firewood. We fished, saw wildlife (buck whitetail crossed the river), lots card games, ate well, roasted hotdogs/marshmallows over the fire, and talked to each other lots! Very comfy beds. Very welcoming decor. Kitchen even had crock pot for a meal to cook while we floated. Highly recommend. My husband already asked when we were going again. Much easier than camping!
Would highly recommend this cabin. Hosts were great to deal with, great communication and she thought of everything. Cabin very well stocked. Even had firewood for us. Very cute cabin, and clean. The wrap around covered front porch was awesome since we did have some rain while there. Porch is a lot bigger than it looks in the picture.
Having our own private gravel bar was great to hang out. Very short drive down the from the driveway to gravel bar. If you are looking for a secluded cabin, this is it. You are definitely secluded and are off the grid while you are there. Limited cell service, if any depending. There is absolutely no one around, super secluded.
Helpful Tip: May want to have everything you need before arriving, as it is not a quick jaunt to the nearest store. Cabin is at the end of a very long gravel road out.
We all loved the cabin and would highly recommend and we will be using in the future.
This property was great. Spacious rooms & outdoor areas. Awesome deck space & firepit area. The grill needs to either be moved or have fans by it to blow the smoke off the porch....the smoke completely filled the covered porch area.
The bathroom was not so great. The toilet took a very long time to refill, which makes it hard for multiple people to all use the bathroom in the morning. The shower head was clogged so the water sprayed everywhere except on the person showering. Additionally, the shower curtain liner was on the same pole as the shower curtain so the bathroom floor flooded with every shower, so 5 times a day for our group. We had to use so very many towels for soaking up water on the bathroom floor.
Amazing river access, but we did get a nasty note from jeffs canoes on our vehicle that we left parked there while we were kayaking. This was a memorial trip for my dad and very emotionally draining, so at the end of the day having passive aggressive threats from a local outfitter wasnt what i wanted to be seeing. Providing the host with license plate numbers that Jeffs canoes can access would resolve this issue easily and avoid future guests possibly having their vehicle towed. I made sure i didnt park in any road ways or areas where the outfitter offloads or parks their vehicles, so this nasty note was really uncalled for.

Wonderful location! This is the third October me and my friends come down to relax, unwind, and reconnect. We look forward to 2026 being pir 4th trip to the cabin!
This is the best place to get your family together and family members off devices. I hope the owners never get Wi-Fi or cell service to the cabin. God’s country is beautiful!
