We had three wonderful days. A beautifully renovated old manor house. Marco, who is both the head chef and owner, prepares delicious food. If you have allergies, they are fully aware and make the necessary adjustments.

Wonderful stay

our day was amazing the storytellers palace. The views were beautiful. We sat on the balcony and had coffee in the morning. We had one meal there that was outstanding. Overall, our experience with the staff in the hotel was very impressive.

Storyteller's Palace is incredibly lovely, the history of the house, the location across from the beach at Sao Martinho, Marco, Ni, Miguel and the wonderful staff which felt like family, the incredible dinner and breakfasts too~!! The property is in a great area right on the beach but the room (presidential suite) is really small for four people. The upstairs area had a very bad smell the whole time. The room was crowded and oddly decorated. The food was great though and staff very friendly and nice.

The place to stay.

Great location, great service and staff and great food. We discovered a flat tire on our rental car after we checked out and the staff contacted the rental car company and arranged a taxi and a tow truck to get the tire repaired. They went beyond!

One of the coolest properties I’ve stayed at in Portugal! We stayed in the Presidential suite which has a roof top with a jacuzzi! Definitely worth the upgrade! Only negative is we ordered a bottle of Champagne to our room and it ended up being 125 euro and the food/breakfast even champagne wasn’t very good. So stay for the stay but eat elsewhere!

The Storyteller hotel is a unique property with individual decorated rooms with well-known authors' names. Our room was very compact, but was really well decorated and beautiful, and seemed freshly renovated. The hotel is literally facing the beach, and listening to the sound of waves was lovely while I sleep.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The staff was fantastic. The food was outrageous. Everyone was so friendly and so helpful. I can’t wait to return. If you are in the area, you definitely need to stay at the storytellers Palace…Marco the owner is just a wonderful wonderful person. We all had so much fun And it was a beautiful place to stay. Beautiful palace! All is renovated except they left wood work, windows, ceilings as original to palace. Amenities are high end and staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. We order food at restaurant and had great hamburger. Definitely returning back.
