"Need to have vrbo account for communication, but it was good the account linked to email. Just need to check the email oftentimes for communication. There was phone number provided as well after the communication started. First time rentor and it went well."

"We stayed here for a baseball tournament for one of our sons and it was a great place for the price. We had a little hiccup with getting in (we didn’t receive the email with the check-in code and had to call the host but it was quickly resolved). We had everything that we needed and it worked for us. We ended up leaving a day early because we didn’t need to stay for the tournament but it would have been great otherwise.One thing to note is that laundry machines aren’t free for use. We had to go out to get quarters from a store to do our baseball uniform wash-up, which is different from other rentals where we have stayed. Not a big deal, but helpful to plan before you go. Thanks for a good stay!"

"The property is clean, living area is spacious and comfortable, and we had everything we needed for a long weekend. Check in and check out are easy. The property is in a great location with easy access shops or a walk by the lake. We have stayed here multiple times and will be back again. Great communication from the hosts!"

"The hotel had just opened under Howard Johnsons, room was nice but soap dispenser was leaking on counter and on to bathroom floor. I let them know, I'm sure it has been fixed. I also had to call for towels, but had a set in minutes. I think my problem Saturday night was with Expedia and not hotel. Hotel would not honor reservation, Expedia said management would not answer and could not reverse payment for room they sold me until Monday after they made final determination, it was not in my favor. Even if it was the hotel, Expedia took my money for a room they couldn't provide. Hotel sold me a room but would not honor my attempted booking through Expedia. The front desk told me I was the 4th or 5th one that night and they didn't know why Expedia was marketing their rooms. It appears contracts aren't enforceable or agreed upon with new name. I feel Expedia should have atleast refunded my no cancelation booking if they are unable to force hotel to honor agreement or didn't have an agreement. Expedia said I should have purchased insurance. I can imagine a lot of reasons for not making it to my hotel or even the hotel unable to accommodate due to issues other than their relationship with Expedia, and can afford an unavoidable loss of this level. Even the insurance shouldn't pay for poor management regardless of where this everyday transaction failed. Expedia sold room as Howard Johnsons (it was) but refers to it as Motel 6 in their communications regarding this review."

"The property met our needs as listed. It was clean and accommodating and I would recommend to friends and family however the stairwell to the basement was not mentioned. The owners may need to take into account the safety factors involving the steep stairwell to the basement to use the washer and dryer and also a safety barrier in the entrance. The entrance door is very close to the entrance to the basement. Please keep in mind any elderly you may have staying and the risks of walking up and down the steep stairwell."

"We had an issue getting into the house as we hadn’t received anything from the host for the door keypad. But we went to have supper and he messaged and all was good. Property was great, very clean and cozy. Was just what we needed for a weekend away!"
