"Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen und das merkt man leider auch. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, was leider in den Ecken außen rum nicht so ist. Die Sauna ist praktisch nicht vorhanden, da es eine Abstellkammer ist. Das Frühstück ist okay. Es gab leider nur Brötchen, kein frisches Obst oder Joghurt. Leider waren viele Tische immer etwas schmutzig. Das Hotel hat eine wunderschöne Lage und man kann es sicherlich richtig schön machen, würde es aber so wie es zur Zeit ist nicht weiterempfehlen."

"Super friendly staff, well kept room and a cosy restaurant with delicious food. And if you love Christmas, this is the place for you. Most background songs in the restaurant where piano versions of Christmas songs (in July). On the negative side but also was a bit amusing in retrospect was the couple that walked in to our looked room while me and my girlfriend were full on enjoying each other. They politely left though. So all good."

"This was a unique stay that we enjoyed. The castle is still a work in progress so there is construction on the outside going on, but the price for a unique stay was good. "The hotel advertised air conditioning, but unfortunately we found out after arriving that it was only available in certain rooms. Our room was extremely hot, which made it very difficult to sleep. The front desk attendant was very kind and provided us with additional fans, but unfortunately they didn’t make much of a difference. After traveling for over 10 hours, we were really looking forward to getting some rest, so it was a disappointing and uncomfortable way to start our trip."

"Great WiFi, clean room, helpful staff, wonderful selection at breakfast. Pool was lovely, towels available there. Outdoor seating was relaxing after a day of walking around the city. I wish they varied their selection of beers in the cooler as I find Jever too bitter. Bitburger or Licher preferred. Overall, a great experience and we would book there the next time we visit Gießen."

"I had a single room, which was spacious enough for me and well equipped, the bed was very comfortable and everything was clean, only the minibar was not cold enough. Quiet location, breakfast and staff were amazing, secure parking inside and wonderful historical building in the heart of town, so I'll be happy to come again..."

"A very beautiful forrest home in the woods. Wonderful location and beautiful forrest garden.The facilitations in the house are good. It has everything you need. All the wood gives a nice atmosphere. We stayed with 3 children and they also liked the house, the garden and the Playstation The owners are very kind and helpful. We had some issues during our stay but the conciërge came that same day. She was also very friendly.There are some things in the house that could have been approved. We understand that it's more easy to see when you live in a house. Thats why we left some feedback in the end. Unfortanately we didn't get any response."

"Great spot for sight seeing and walking the town on foot. The hotel itself was well maintained, the bedrooms were beautiful but some repairs were needed. Breakfast had great options and the staff had some cute surprises for our little one as well as us. Overall would recommend staying."
