"Excellent stay at Plaza Mina Suites. We had the penthouse apartment which had a fabulous private roof terrace with table and chairs and sun loungers which we made use of due to having great weather in March. "Lovely ancient building but very small room and stinky. Lots of air freshener and/or fabric scent was used to cover up something. "Perfect position with amazing welcoming and friendly staff! Rooms were spotless and fine for a few nights stay. Shower was a great size, modern and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was very good and hot food changed each day. Roof terrace was great to relax for a couple of hours after sightseeing. Position is perfect as on a quiet side street in the pedestrian area within 100 metres of cathedral in one direction, 200 metres of the market in the other and straight up 200 metres to Plaza Candelaria. Parking at Campo Del Sur made it easy to walk through to the hotel. Highly recommended as excellent value for money with amazing staff!"

"The receptionist was very friendly and helpful on check in. We chose the hotel due to its location and they accept dogs. The charge was a reasonable €16.50 for our dog and there was a dog bed, 2 bowls and a treat in our room. The bed was comfortable and there was a kettle and coffee machine in the room. This is a boutique hotel so no bar as such but it has a cafe on the ground floor with outdoor seating (it is in a pedestrian area) and you can buy drinks and take them up to the rooftop terrace. We stayed in the room at the top which also has some outdoor space. As others have mentioned the room and bathroom could do with being updated but we felt it offered good value for money. Parking Canajelas is 5 minutes away and was €25 overnight."

Unfortunately the room we had only had a window that was frosted which meant there was no view and little natural light."

"Absolutely wonderful 2 night stay….staff amazing from reception to both restaurants. Great location and gorgeous sea views and adjacent to beautiful gardens with waterfall and topiary’s. At breakfast if you are a tea drinker place the order with a member of staff who has the trolley as there is no self serve tea making facilities. The food offerings were excellent for gluten free and had an omelette station too. "

"The apartment was spacious and comfortable. The building was very nice with a nice seating area and complimentary refreshments. The location was good for the train station - an easy 15 minute walk. The only downside was the noise on a night. We stayed 7 nights and the last 3 (Thurs, Fri, Sat) were very noisy into the early hours of the morning. There is only one small bar nearby but the streets of the old town are narrow which seemed to amplify the noise as groups of people were walking and talking. We were prepared with earplugs as any city break has the potential for noise. If it hadnt been for that it would've been perfect. "
