I stayed at Avani Adelaide Residences and while the room itself was well presented and comfortable, the stay was let down by a lack of basic functionality.
The internet did not work properly for most of the stay, which meant the TV and in-room phone were also unusable. On the second night, I had to go to a different room on another floor just to use a working TV and internet, which was inconvenient and disrupted the evening.
Unfortunately, this ended up ruining what was meant to be a relaxed night in, including dinner, as we spent a long time trying to resolve the issue.
By the final night, the problem still had not been fixed. I contacted reception and was told it was working, despite being in the room confirming that it wasn’t. No alternative solution was offered at that point.
It’s disappointing that a property of this standard could not provide or resolve such basic services over multiple days. With those issues addressed, it would be a great place to stay, but based on this experience I wouldn’t return.
