I wanted to stay in Piran but choose this hotel initially for two reasons: (a) it was walking distance along a promenade to Piran and offered free parking; and (b) it would be staying in a slice of history as the form of the hotel (though not the renovated interiors) harked back to the more brutalist days of the Yugoslav Republic. "The hotel itself is wonderful, offering excellent service, beautiful rooms, and a great location right next to the marina. Overall, it’s a lovely place. Unfortunately, the dining experience at the attached restaurant was really disappointing. Both my dish—burnt, almost inedible risotto—and my companion’s tasteless seafood pasta were far below expectations. The service in the restaurant was also subpar. It’s a shame, as everything else about the hotel was so great."

"We had the best welcome ever! Our car broke down and we had to find a place to spend the night and arrived late and tired to the hotel and they were super sweet and they offered us a Prosecco and little snack to relax after the car nightmare we had. We ended staying another night as the place is beautiful, the shower has the perfect pressure, the bed is comfy and the staff is so nice. ♥️"
