"The room was fairly clean although furniture has seen better days. Seafront views are spectacular. Hotel is a 10 minute walk to city centre which is nice if you want to try various places to eat, also there is a nice south west coast trail near by if you fancy a nice walk. The stay was relatively lovely although I would like to stay in other places with a seafront view if I’m to visit Torquay again"
"Excellent location to explore Exeter City. Short 5 minute strole to the Cathedral and shop. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only criticism we had was that the breakfast buffet was tepid at best both mornings that we were there."

"The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location close to the seafront, the pier, the harbour, the parks, pubs, restaurants, souvenir shops, steam railway, train and bus station made it the perfect place to stay for a seaside holiday.
I only ordered the breakfast, not evening meals, the dining room was nice and the food was very good. I recommend it."
"The hotel is only about a year old so the building and all the fittings and furniture are in as-new condition. The staff were all cheerful and a delight to work with. The food was good both breakfast and the evening meals.
The location right on the foreshore is attractive with lovely views of the sunrise but it is well away from the centre of Torquay. When I arrived Google maps had the location 300 metres too close to the main part of Torquay so you need to check this before setting a route."
"Disappointed to find things broken in the room on check-in and dirty drawers and carpet. No where to out toiletry bag in bathroom. To be charged £15 a night for parking as we didn't book directly is ridiculous as therebis free parking on the road outside and a m permit carpark next door that charges less."
"It was a nice hotel in a good location. Staff also nice and helpful.
However my single room was TINY. Single bed squeezed in with wall at foot of bed, so my toes touched this when I stretched out. Ensuite was too small to include sink in there, so was in the bedroom. No window but a frosted window emergency door, leading me to think that where the room was was originally a corridor to this emergency exit.
Also no towels left in room, which I did not notice until came back in evening when...
"It was a wonderful, yet too brief, one night stay. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Our meal in the informal dining/pub options was nourishing and delicious. The room was clean, large, and bright. We were able to get a room facing back garden and with views. A big pot of tea and a freshly pressed coffee were very nice at breakfast. Local walks on the moor, and to the quarry & rocks and were fab."
