"Very much a business hotel and require taxis to get there if you are on public transport, but everyone was welcoming and helpful and we will stay again"
"The rooms are refurbished and clean, but it’s surprising that there’s no air conditioning for a four star hotel.
The pool and gym are part of a public leisure centre, so they don’t feel particularly exclusive to hotel guests. The pool also wasn’t very clean, with a sandy texture on the bottom and noticeable grime around the tiles. Overall, very average.
Breakfast was also quite basic. I’d recommend saving your money and eating out instead, you’ll likely get something better for half the price."
"Not as pleasant as stay as usual. They rarely have "proper" coffee in the rooms, only decaffeinated. Bar prices were inconsistent- £7,50 on Saturday afternoon for a large glass of wine yet £7,50 on Sunday afternoon for the same but with a £5 off voucher."
"Apart from a strange noise that came intermittently from either the pipes or the air conditioning, I cannot fault this place. The room was excellent. The quietness of the environment was outstanding. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bath was large and comfortable. There was a little wear and tear on the bannisters and newel posts on the stairway but it was clean and not screaming out for immediate redecoration. The air conditioning system was uncontrollable.
Without the ability to open the window, the room was extremely cold and completely uninhabitable."
"The room was ok but not spotless, we left the sign out to be cleaned and when we got back in the evening it hadn't been cleaned, we had no clean towels and had run out of toilet roll.
We had 2 rooms and the other room had a strong sewage/drains smell, also lots of insects on the ceiling which i had to get rid of before the kids went to sleep."

Lovely room with an excellent modern bathroom with complimentary toiletries.
A great variety of restaurants close by. We tried the tapas bar Ole Ole which was excellent.
