"Great location and lovely views out onto the water. Lovely pool and related facilities in the basement though having to pay for a swimming hat was annoying. Rooms felt a bit dated, and overall not as nice as in the pictures. Layout is odd, having to go in two lifts to reach a second floor room. The breakfast was a complete write-off: we were told to go out into the lobby with the 20 (?) other people and wait 30 mins for a table. "Great boutique hotel in a small town. Helpful local staff that made check in easy. Rooms are large and spacious with comfortable beds. Rooms can get stuffy and warm in summer as can only open windows a small crack and no AC but depends on outside temp."

The decor is a little tired in places but did not distract from a very pleasant one night stay.

"We were very pleased with our stay starting with a comfortable bed and the quietness was great surrounded by spacious grounds and the river. The breakfast was superb with plenty of everything and the hosts were friendly and informative about nearby amnenities and attractions.
