"I don't write these reviews, but spent 2 weeks there and it was not worth the money! We found a roach in our room, the entrance of the hotel always smelled like sewer and the fan was broken in our bathroom, nothing ever dried.
This wasn't as important, but still an issue: we had hundreds of TV stations, but only 2 English speaking stations(the TV was not a smart TV and had no access to the internet or apps to watch anything else).
Great City, but there are better places to stay."
"Located in the centre of the Old Port area, we found it an excellent base from which to explore the city as well as to get to the railway station for trips to Portofino and the Cinque Terre. We enjoyed being surrounded by the luxurious boats moored alongside - not to mention the galleon!
Our one criticism was of breakfast, which was hugely overpriced. The buffet offering was good - fresh, plentiful and varied - but wasn't worth Euros 28.90 per person."
"The suite had a noticeable damp smell when we arrived. During our stay, we discovered that the AC unit was leaking, which likely explains where the damp smell was coming from.
I also would not classify this hotel as a true 4-star property. Based on the overall condition, quality, and amenities, it felt much more like a 3-star hotel, and I believe the pricing should reflect that. Had I known beforehand that this was more comparable to a 3-star property, my expectations would have been very...
"The location was excellent and we had a balcony to look out over the water. Staff were very friendly and always accommodating. The only complaint was that the room was tiny…although the balcony made up for much of that. With two suitcases open it was a challenge to get around the bed to bathroom, but overall, I would stay there again."
"Breakfast was excellent! Rooms are adequate and while the hotel itself may be a bit outdated, it was clean and staff was outstanding. While they could not pick us up at the airport because they where uderstaffed that Sunday evening, they told us to take a taxi and that we would get reimbursed. Sure enough, as we drove up, they rushed out and took care of the cab fare!"
