"Nice leisure facilities and staff but the place is in need of a serious upgrade. Rooms and hotel itself are very dated and not maintained to a standard expected of a ‘resort’."
"The chap on reception when we arrived was particularly helpful as we were struggling due age and limited mobility. He carried our luggage and found us a more suitable room as the original room was way too far for us to walk to. Our special celebration short break would have been completely ruined. The room was lovely the bed was excellent. The Italian restaurant was good and the staff were lovely. Ended up being a really nice break thanks to the young man at reception."
"From the initial booking , all that transpired relating to the two day booking was first class , could not identify a fault . Also , the staff who served and looked after my wife and I were in my opinion a credit to the company ."
"The hotel is beautiful and the amenities such as the pool, workout room, etc. are excellent. We enjoyed a lovely dinner in the finer dining restaurant. The service was great at check in, check out and the restaurant.
Our room was extremely spacious and very nice. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom spacious and the sitting area very nice.
The big negative is there is no air conditioning. I guess I should have assumed this since the building is so old but we have stayed at older places that...
"We stayed in lodge 1, it is in serious need of some tlc and updating. The carpets, sofas should have been upgraded years ago, alongside the kitchen.
Just a tired looking lodge now which is disappointing given the fantastic location.
The pool is fab, and the Italian restaurant was lovely!"

"The property was incredibly spacious, it felt a little dated at first but the bedrooms and bathrooms have been updated to an excellent standard. The kitchen/lounge area was very well maintained and equipped with everything needed. We enjoyed a relaxing afternoon in the pool area, had an excellent steak in the brasserie and breakfast in the lounge before we left."
"Cozy, warm, made us feel completely at home! Great breakfasts! Special little touches like fresh flowers in local gin bottles, wee dram of scotch, cookies and chocolate. Awesome bed! Nice, crisp white sheets, comfy white comforter and good pillows! Loved the decor and the red doors!"
