"Great rooms and onsen, let down by the front desk
We stayed two nights as a family of five in a junior suite. The room was spacious and clean, the grounds are beautiful, and the onsen is excellent.
The problem was the front desk. An older male receptionist flatly refused two small, ordinary requests: printing a single document, and a small box of pastries for our early departure that a female colleague had already agreed to prepare. No apology, no explanation, no attempt to help.

"La Vista is an amazing spa hotel, rooms are large and comfortable, we had a large bath and a balcony, the public spa is wonderful, with ice cream, the restaurant is excellent and there are free drinks and Ramen. Wonderful hotel,"
"It says it’s a 4-star hotel, but it’s more of a 3-star, as it’s somewhat tired. The rooms should be updated. The private onsen is nice, and the Akafuji restaurant is highly recommended. The staff is friendly and helpful."
"The property was gorgeous and the staff could not have been more helpful. We arrived and were met by staff who took care of our arrival and explained the various baths to us. The food was amazing and plentiful.
The private baths were clean and tranquil. Sitting in the hot spring while listening to the river below was an experience I will not soon forget.
Add that to the beautiful scenery and it was a trip to be remembered."
"The hotel was absolutely amazing! The staff was incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to meet our every need. Everything was spotless, and there was always someone available to help whenever we needed it.
We stayed in the VIP Besso area, which was truly amazing. The dinners each night were spectacular, and the entire experience was exceptional. I’d highly recommend this hotel!"
"Would give 10 stars if I could. The facility is conveniently located near the lake and to convenience stores and bus stops. It is very gorgeous and if you want to make the most of a traditional experience, do not skip the kaiseki. It's very much worth it and they served the best fish I've ever had.
