"Generally a good hotel, we were happy with the price that we paid for. Great and helpful staff but it is located in a not very charming location/road. There is absolutely nothing to walk to around the hotel. Free shuttle to Solerno city center/ferry port was very convenient. Family room (we were 2 adults and 2 kids) was quite small for 4 of us and bathroom/toilet were not very modern/new. Our room was upgraded free to new refurbished room which was great but was still small. "

"I usually do not take the time to complete reviews, even when I really enjoy the location. In this case, I’m anxious to do so, as the Grand Hotel Capodimonte in Sorrento, Italy, is an amazing place. Probably the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in, which not only includes our room, but the elevator, restaurant, lawns, etc. The location is amazing – you simply walk about 150 yards down the hill and you’re in the heart of the best shopping and dining in the city. Other hotels are on the strip, but they are “too busy”, and the 150 yard walk is worth it. A 10-minute walk to the marina to catch ferries to Pasitano, Alalfi, Capri, etc., and a 15-minute walk to the bus terminal for additional options. The staff could not have been more friendly. Complimentary breakfast was first class all the way. Our plane left super-early from Naples (1.5 hours away), so we had to leave before breakfast was served. The hotel made us a “travel breakfast bag” to eat on the way to the airport. Incredibly thoughtful and much appreciated. One of my finest travel experiences ever. A+++ and highly recommended. "Above and beyond our expectations. Everything about this place is perfect! Impeccably clean and well appointed. They upgraded our room and we have a beautiful sea view. The staff is so friendly. The included breakfast even has an omelette station. We only planned on staying one night but are enjoying hotel so much we are doing day trips from here and enjoying Sorrento as our home base. "
