"The staff is super nice. This rating would have been a four or five except that there are some critical things that are fails;
1. The room smelled like old cigarette and when we walked down the hallways multiple rooms had active smokers at night. Which means the hotel doesn’t reinforce “no-smoking” policy. My sinus suffered.
2. They told me we had access to the hotel parking lot, after 3 days of use they informed me it costs €30 per day!!!! Not before… even though I called to ask before...
"Wir waren als Familie (mit Hund) 10 Tage in dem Hotel. An sich waren wir mit dem Hotel sehr zufrieden. Was sehr schade war: wir haben 27€ am Tag für unseren Hund bezahlt, ich sehe da nur den Zweck nicht. Denn es wurde kein einziges Mal unsere Bettwäsche getauscht, noch wurde die Toilette geputzt. Buffet war immer reichlich, nur hätte ich mir morgens mehr Vielfalt gewünscht z.b. Lachs, verschiedene Wurstsorten/ Käsesorten. Pool war nie überladen und es gab immer eine freie Liege. "Wir hatten zwei super schöne Zimmer, eins davon mit einem grandiosen Ausblick aufs Meer, das andere mit einem seitlichen Ausblick aufs Meer. Das Restaurant, in dem wir immer gefrühstückt haben, bietet einen tollen Meerblick. Alle Angestellten waren sehr zuvorkommend, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt dort sehr genossen, und auch das Örtchen ist ein Traum."

The best thing is that we were on holidays about 3 years ago at Hotel Excelsior Lovran und we forgot our jackets there ! Now after almost after 3 Years in 2026 , We were again there for holidays and asked the Receptionist about our stuff ( i was not expecting that , i asked them just because i was curios ) And guess what !!! "The rugs were filthy. We were given a room on the second floor and we could hear a band playing. The breakfast wasn't appealing. The coffee didn't taste like coffee and the water came from a machine that dispensed dirty water. I had an allergy reaction in the dining room from what I believe was mold from the air conditioner because in the lobby the air conditioner was full of mold. Also, the shower head in the shower was broken."
