"Excellent Hotel, well-located next to Cardiff Castle, parks, shopping areas, etc. Clean and well cared for. Reception staff went out of their way to be helpful (we had a complex booking because we were working around a concert bundle stay, with a booking before, and a booking after the concert date) and to make sure we had continuity in the room we stayed in and simplified things as much as possible to make it relatively seemless. "Room was the worst I have ever stayed in , , cobwebs , along with the spiders in corner , bird droppings on window , stains on carpets & chairs , the furniture was worn and scratched , carpet a tripping hazard as all uneven , & not just in the room , the list goes on . "We stayed at this hotel in order to visit the National Museum which is nearby. It is also close to Queen Street station. We enjoyed the overall ambience of the hotel and particularly liked the restaurant and the roof top bar. The staff of the restaurant/bar provided excellent service at dinner and breakfast. The range of choices available for breakfast was excellent. Our stay coincided with the heatwave but the room was air conditioned and cool."

"Great stay during heat wave. Luckily chose this hotel with air-conditioning. Breakfast was excellent and staff very pleasant and helpful."

"Beautiful surroundings with an outside terrace overlooking a small lake, quiet. Staff very courteous and helpful. Grounds could do with a bit of tidying, cigarette stubs everywhere. Sink in bathroom problematic for shorter people, needed to stretch over the counter to use it, tap also very stiff to use and leaking. Enjoyed our stay very much and would stay there again."
