"A really lovely hotel and the staff were all so friendly and attentive through our stay We did a spa morning whilst there and the massage was really good Also the restaurant was great with delicious food and a great setting especially sitting outside in the nice weather"

"The room was clean and spacious. Our only minor complaint is about the shower stall. It was only half enclosed so splashes of water on the floor was inevitable. The drain was also a little bit slow, so we had to turn down the shower flow to avoid standing in a puddle of water. "Would have had a better experience if the tables at breakfast were cleaned, there were enough towels for the #of people booked for the room and there was soap in the shower. Our train was delayed and it was during a heatwave. Not having soap and towels and somewhere to eat added to stress instead of being a relief."

"Just doe a night it was ok. There are lots of little things that just need a little attention to smarten up the hotel and make the experience a better for guests. Staff are helpful but seem a little complacent that’s how things are. Eg. Hotel rubbish outside in the walkway between the two car parks where staff also have a ‘smoking table’ with lots of ash, rubbish on the flat roof outside our window, mould on our window frame, sheet was too small for our bed frame and didn’t tuck in, fire door...

"Nice comfy bed in a big room. There was a fan supplied (a necessity during the heatwave especially during the night). Staff were always polite and helpful. Breakfast was different every day ( I think it depended on who cooked it) but was nice - it’s just a pity ham and cheese and different fruit were not offered but as I said breakfast was nice."

"A nice pub but not a great place to stay when it's hot. No AC, which is fair enough for an old pub, but no fan in the room and, despite facing west, nobody had thought to close the curtains so the room was in full sun all afternoon and impossible to cool down. Opening the window just let in the noise from the road."
