"Stayed over for one night passing through on a cycling trip. The host was extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful storing and charging our bikes. Only open for B&B but fortunately the local tearoom opens on weekend evenings for meals. Well stocked community shop next door and community pub at the end of the street. Great village and area."

"This is a modern hotel in an historic house with a fantastic restaurant attached. Not sure if the two are owned by the same group but probably. The check in is all virtual, no hotel staff are on site, and it went smoothly however I did have to step outside to get a decent cellular signal in order to check in. Close to the railway station. Excellent breakfast in the restaurant. Highly recommended!"

Hotel is tierd in places but room was modern obviously newly updated. Bed very comfortable family are improving areas all the time. Well worth a visit if you are coming to Castle Douglas."

It was so beautiful and comfortable! Each kid had their own twin bed, and they loved it! Windows opened to hear the seagulls and cars below, and let in the cool sea breeze. There was plenty of space to move around. The bathroom was very clean and perfect for us. We ordered the full breakfast the next...
