"Entering the warm friendly reception area, you are greeted with smiles and laughter, and the staff are so friendly and chatty, making check in a breeze. The bedroom was spacious and clean, and the shower was large and had good water pressure. Evening dinner was delicious it was a 3-course meal – Fish Goujons for starter and Chicken and dauphinoise potatoes for main and fruits of the forest cheesecake for dessert. Bingo was on the go for the residents after dinner, loads of laughter and people...

"Right in the center of town and an easy walk from the train station in Barnstaple. Everything is right there in walking distance and it's all just as funky and charming and welcoming as can be! The hotel's foundation has sunken a bit (or more in some places) which is charming but a little disconcerting if you're thinking you might fall out of bed!"

"Stayed sunday night so restaurant not open for evening meal but the breakfast was excellent. Room was clean bright and fresh great view of railway and the sea. Bathroom was clean and fresh with a powerful hot shower. Managed to park on site . Would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay again. All the staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful. "

"The decor of this Victorian building is superb. From the floor tiles and reception rooms decorated in the style of the era. Our bedroom modern and very clean. All the staff were lovely and we were allowed to park in the private parking, a real bonus! The breakfast was superb. "
