Top Last Chance Hotel Reviews
Blue Buffalo Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Blue Buffalo Resort was wonderful for my recent trip to Yellowstone. The site is situated in Idaho, so I found the location perfect, as it was away from the more tourist heavy town of West Yellowstone. It's about a 30 minutes drive away. I had booked an Aspen Studio cabin which was great for just me as a solo traveller. Roomy, clean and had all the features of a hotel in a compact place. I did find it wierd how the toilet is in the shower but I get it as space is limited and it all adds to the camp/cosy cabin feel. I didn't make the most of the site but it has plenty of things on offer, for families it seems with play areas and games across the grounds. The road the resort is located on doesn't have a ton of things to do - this is very much tailored to the outdoors, hiking, fishing and the quieter trails of Yellowstone it seems, which is great! But if you want more going on, bars and nightlife, i'd stay closer to West Yellowstone. There are nearby restaurants but you would need a car essentially to get to them. Also I found a lot of restaurants nearby would close around 9pm which felt early for mid July. So, the on site pizza restaurant was truly one of the best pizzas I've ever had in the US. You must try them. 10/10. I went one night and could've dined there every night. I would recommend this place, a very cool, modern yet quaint, trendy resort with lots of charm."

"You have to check in down the road at a different facility. That would have been nice to know ahead so we weren't trying to figure that out on our own."
