"Convenient to local restaurants, shopping, and parks. Room 36 was spacious and had a view of park across the street. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was included and delicious."

"Good location for walking into Matlock Bath, 20 minute easy flat walk. Hotel has an on site Indian restaurant and bar but we weren’t aware so didn’t eat there as we had booked somewhere in town. Staff very friendly and helpful. Parking was good on hotel premises. Didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment. It’s not luxury but a good hotel in a good location with parking which is difficult to find in the area."
"Bathroom needed updating there was mould and the floor was coming away. The building is old, the whole room shook when people were moving around upstairs."

"This is not a 4star hotel as described, it’s just a tired old pub that has some accommodation. The ‘deluxe’room that we had booked had stained carpets,sofa and cushions and was very basic. The two small bath towels and one hand towel provided were frayed. The menu is very basic in the pub. I had a pizza that was inedible as it tasted mouldy and looked horrible. We checked out after one night having booked and paid for 3 nights. The building has an unkempt vibe. The car park is very small and...
"We welcomed the useful car park with my daughter’s pending wedding and ease of access to town. Room was clean but very hot although fan was provided but noisy overnight and didn’t rotate & only one window opened -
Despite this and noisy guests in proximity - everything else was good. Breakfast and staff were helpful and especially at breakfast the staff member was pleasant and I noted took time to talk to guests and was very amenable.
