"The property looked nice driving up but the interior needs to be updated. My room was on the 1st floor and the hallway floors were uneven and seem well worn. The room was ok, clean but a tiny TV and the pillows were not even standard size,more like throw pillows. Luckily,I always bring my own. The phone was old and there was a DVD player in the room, so yes some updates could help. I didn't realize the restaurant was going to be closed through the end of the year, so we had to leave to get...
"A nice hotel with a mini golf course next door. We were looking forward to some evening golf, but didn't realize it closed at 6:00 some days, so unfortunately we didn't get to do that. The hotel itself was nice, breakfast was decent and there was a nice restaurant across the street where we ate. Rooms were very large for this chain. Overall, a great stay!"
"Only stayed one night so we didn’t explore too much. Property was quiet despite being close to town though the walls are a bit thin so we could kinda hear people in the next room. Beds were comfy. Would stay again."

"We had visited Whitney's Inn before and were aware it is currently transitioning to new ownership, which apparently aspires to revitalize the whole ski resort community. So we had reasonable expectations going into this. The property has certainly seen better days - our bedframe was literally caving in! But staff were friendly and willing to help make things right. We are midweek travelers so the place wasn't too busy. The adjoining Shovel Handle Pub is now open midweek so we were able to try it...
"Enjoyable stay, appreciated the sound proofing because even with the noise outside we didn’t really hear it inside. The room was as small but nice and clean. The grounds were well maintained and the pool being open in mid-September was a very nice surprise. Beautiful surroundings, would stay again!"
